Expanding Mental Health Support for International and Study Abroad Students

Long before the COVID-19 pandemic, mental health was already a challenge for a growing number of college students. According to a 2017 survey from the American College Health Association, in the previous 12 months, 52% of students felt hopeless, 61% experienced overwhelming anxiety and nearly 40% were so depressed that it was difficult to even function.

As the pandemic continues, mental health must be a focal point for everyone on college campuses, including global education leaders as they work with international students and study abroad travelers, who experience their own particular challenges. Learn more about how study abroad and international student offices can shore up their support for students in this E-Book.
