Student safety is a number one priority for all study abroad offices. With this in mind, Marquette University's Office of International Education wanted to make sure they were able to notify travelers about potential risks and know the location of their students to ensure safety. With Terra Dotta solutions, they were prepared for rapid response.

Prior to implementing Terra Dotta’s AlertTraveler®, Marquette notified students, faculty, and staff about potential concerns by matching travelers to the area of risk and then notifying them by email. The process was time-consuming and presented delays in alerting their travelers.

With AlertTraveler®, Marquette is now able to provide country intelligence prior to departure and during travel. The office can deliver automatic and real-time alerts directly to the travelers through push notifications, email, and SMS text messaging and ask travelers to respond to check-in requests during danger.
