Schools are implementing our fully integrated SEVIS Easy Module that provides comprehensive compliance and will soon be going live with the software and its SEVIS interface. Response has been strong and we definitely have our work cut out for us in the months ahead! As implementations move forward, we will have updates and highlights to share at the NAFSA regional conferences starting later this month.

Our team of ISSS experts are assuring that we address the highest needs of an ISSS office.

Travis Ulrich

“The embedded RTI browser will support all I-20 and DS-2019 record actions for FMJ visas.”

Katie Wirka
Client Support Specialist
(former DSO at University of Wisconsin-Madison)

"Our robust pre-arrival support will win back hours, if not days, for many office staff."

Monica Sharp
Product Specialist, ISSS
(former PDSO/RO at the University of Oklahoma)

"The integrated paperless solutions will move that paper out of and away from the office. They can plan to give away at least a few file drawers!"

Derrick Lovick
Software Engineer / Specialist, ISSS
(former DSO at North Carolina State University)

"ISSS offices will be able to manage students and scholars with the SEVIS module. Reporting really will be much easier."

James Lee
Director of Business Development

"We are hearing and listening to the needs and wants of offices across the country in our software demonstrations. We hear about the limitations of other solution providers and we want to do all we can to reduce those pain points."

Be sure to stop by our exhibit table at any of the NAFSA Regional conferences and we will show you what's possible.

See our conference schedule to contact us for a meeting at any of the upcoming events.

In a previous Terra Dotta Newsletter, I highlighted the efforts of the Institute of International Education (IIE) to support an increase in study abroad participation at U.S. colleges and universities through their Generation Study Abroad initiative. Since that time, I have been impressed by the continuing effort by IIE to move this initiative forward. As I will highlight later, the recent IIE Generation Study Abroad Summit was an important move forward by the field to focus on increasing both for-credit study abroad and other non-credit international experiences for students. An impressive part of the proceedings is that notes were taken during sessions and PowerPoint presentations have also been made accessible following the end of the Summit (more about that later).

Rosie Beam began working for Terra Dotta in January of 2015 as a Client Support Specialist. She is a Terra Dotta administrator working in client sites to build materials and processes. She also coordinates Terra Dotta’s training webinars, manages the TDCL (Terra Dotta Community Library) publications, and organizes account management meetings with clients.

Prior to working at Terra Dotta, Rosie served as a Teacher’s Assistant at Caser Elementary School, and a Receptionist at Apple, Inc.

Rosie received an Associates degree in Elementary Education from Catawba Valley Community College.

Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family and friends. Rosie loves to watch football (Go Broncos!), travel and experience new things, and remain active whether playing ultimate frisbee, running on the track, or going to the gym. Rosie says her favorite part of working at Terra Dotta is “the job and the people - I love that I don’t do the same thing everyday and that I get to interact with some great people. I love the staff because I have always felt at home and I feel like I have known them my whole life.”

Presenter: Chelsey Harwood

Did you recently inherit a TDS site from someone else? Are you hoping to learn more about a site that you didn't originally build? Let's do some sleuthing on a pre-existing site and uncover what programs, processes, and people are there, and the rationale for why they might have been built that way.

OCTOBER 21

4:00 PM EDT

Presenter: Elizabeth Lostetter

The majority of Terra Dotta clients rely on an integration between their Terra Dotta Software and campus data systems in order to log in and evaluate applicants. In addition, an integration is required for the SEVIS module functionality. This session will cover the basics of how an integration actually works. We’ll cover integration structures, various options for campus logins, and go over examples of data fields commonly included in integrations. No IT background is required for this session. Knowledge is power - gain control of your integration!

NOVEMBER 4

Presenter: Steve Sweitzer

You have learned the basics of how the new task and workflow systems function in TDS 15, but how can you start putting them to work most effectively? This webinar will go through a detailed implementation and demonstration of a few different types of workflows that you can start automating your office processes with these new tools. This webinar will cover both the building of the workflows themselves as well as configuring the triggers that will get them running.
