From a Student's Perspective

Conducting an Advanced Program Search
Students can conduct an advanced search on programs based on parameters you build into the system. Whether it is GPA, major, language of instruction, or who can receive credit for that program, students can find programs that suit their needs with ease.

Making an Appointment
Administrators can designate specific dates and times they are available for appointments on their home page. Students can access the staff's schedules on the staff page. Upon logging in with their Secure Campus Login, students can request an appointment with a staff member as well as provide preliminary information for the staff member before stepping foot in the office.

Applying for a Program
Each program has the ability to accept applications for single or multiple terms. StudioAbroad can also process scholarship, incoming student, and exchange student applications.

Personalized Home Page
Students have a personalized website which displays unique information, such as a student uploaded photo, cell phone number for SMS text messages, and address information. Students will also see a catalog of emails sent from the study abroad office through the system. Students cannot claim they never received your email anymore!

Completing an Application
StudioAbroad guides students through the whole application process and study abroad cycle. Their application page lists specific submissions required by your office with a checkbox next to it. Students will no longer call your office to see if a material has been received. The miracle behind this system is the culture change that takes place with students. They see what remains to do, so they take more ownership of their application process.

From an Administrator's Perspective

Staff and Administrators can have access to six main admin functions upon logging in to the website: Student Admin, Program Admin, Process Admin, Website Admin, Staff Admin, and System Settings. Each admin function has numerous capabilities, such as searching for a student's application, creating a new application item, adding a reviewer, and editing the content of the website. The videos below are a few samples of the functionalities of each section.

Searching for a Program Cohort
StudioAbroad gives your staff the ability to query the information from your student information system and from your StudioAbroad database. Your information is now at your fingertips.

Processing an Application
Manage student applications with a click of a button! Study Abroad Advisors and administrators can record that various materials have been submitted by the student, instanteneously updating the student's record.

Publishing Alumni Information
Track study abroad alumni after they graduate from your university. Alumni can opt to have their information published on your website, informing prospective students about the numerous benefits of study abroad after graduation.

Creating a Brochure
Deliver brochures online for all of your programs as a seamless part of your website. With StudioAbroad's dynamic search engine, all of your visitors can easily find and learn about your programs. Every program has its own brochure page that can be quickly updated when program details change.

Building a Budget Sheet
Keep a record of estimated expenses for students to view how much tuition, housing, meals, and visa fees cost.

Building a Questionnaire
Create a questionnaire for students to submit various information, including their essay questions, resumes, as well as evaluations and testimonials about the program upon their return from study abroad.

Setting a Reminder Schedule
StudioAbroad tracks students through the advising, application, post-decision, abroad, and returnee phases and can send out automated e-mails letting them know what needs to be completed for each phase.

Creating an Announcement
Have an information session coming up? Create an announcement with an expiration date so it will disappear off of your website after it is over!
