Terra Dotta University Online

Terra Dotta University is a free customer service portal for users of all Terra Dotta software. It offers documentation and instructional videos that provide online training related to the administration and use of your institution's Terra Dotta system. Each client-institution is granted access to the following support resources:

  1. Step-by-Step Guide to help new clients build their site
  2. Searchable Knowledgebase for 'how to' information and answers to frequently asked questions
  3. Community Discussion Forums to learn from and share with other intuitions using Terra Dotta software
  4. Support Case System to submit questions or report issues to the Terra Dotta support team
  5. Technical Documentation for help with advanced topics and installation of the software
  6. Training Videos with detailed information about specific features
  7. Monthly training webinars on varying topics - free to all clients
  8. Distribution which includes software downloads, installation instructions and release notes

Terra Dotta University Annual User Conference

Users of Terra Dotta software gather annually at Terra Dotta University, a conference that offers a variety of sessions on different topics. During this conference, users come together to explore new features of Terra Dotta software or creative uses of existing features, network with colleagues, and share best practices. In-depth workshops for new users and advanced users are offered pre and post conference.

Software Training

Terra Dotta has three methods for providing software training - on-site training, web-based training, and video training.

For on-site training, a Terra Dotta instructor will come to your location to present the software in a classroom style training environment. The training agenda will be customized to fit the specific needs of your office and is generally completed in two, half-day training sessions.

Web-based training is a 3½ hour session with a Terra Dotta instructor who will share materials using screen-sharing technology and audio conferencing. Like on-site training, web-based training can be personalized to cover the topics of most value to your group.

Terra Dotta has compiled an extensive video library that houses many training videos. All clients can access these videos for free to learn about the use and features of the software on their own schedule.

Terra Dotta also offers free training webinars. These are hour-long web sessions that cover a variety of topics and software features. Upcoming webinars are announced on the Terra Dotta University website and registration is quick and free for clients.

Professional Services

Terra Dotta Professional Services are available to assist with installation, system integrations, and content development for new and existing installations of Terra Dotta software. Professional Services include:

  1. Installation and configuration of the software
  2. Upgrading to the next version of the software
  3. Assistance integrating your site with your network login system, Student Information System, or Human Resources System
  4. Populating program information and application materials on your site
  5. Developing a graphic design/layout for your site
  6. Hosting (Running) your software in Terra Dotta's data center
  7. Integrating the software with your preferred payment processor to collect credit/debit card payments for program fees
