At the start of International Education Week 2015, the Institute of International Education released their Open Doors report, including the numbers of international students in the U.S. and U.S. students studying abroad. There were significant increases in both directions of student mobility this year.

Highlights included the number of international students in the U.S. almost reached 1 million (974,926 in 2014/15) and after remaining flat for many years, the number of study abroad students increased by about 5 per cent to 304,467 (2013/14). The economic impact of international students to the US economy also increased to 30.5 billion dollars.

Christina Meredith is a Client Support Specialist that started with Terra Dotta in March of 2015. She has meetings with clients to discuss how features work, best practices, and projects they want a Terra Dotta administrator to complete for them. Christina works on client projects, checks in with clients to see what items they need help on, and assists the rest of Terra Dotta Professional Services and support whenever possible.

Prior to working at Terra Dotta, Christina served 8 years as a Director of Operations for a small third party provider.

Christina completed a double major at the University of Iowa in French & International Studies with International Business & Entrepreneurship certificates.

Outside of work, she spends most of her downtime with her husband, their 22 month old daughter and 2 dogs. Christina is also into health & fitness, reading and traveling. She can't wait to visit some of the best diving spots in the world, including Australia and Thailand! That, along with a Disney cruise, is the perfect holiday for her! Christina says her favorite part of working at Terra Dotta is “the atmosphere: we get along great and everyone's so willing to help each other whenever possible”
